GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS.
SOLAR SYSTEM PURCHASE (CASH PAYMENT).
- Quotation Validity
- Prices remain valid for 15 days from the date of offer or bid.
- Prices may change due to fluctuations in dollar rate, import policies, government financial policies, or significant market price changes.
- The quotation is based on the approved solar system design; any change after design confirmation will incur additional charges.
- Pricing Policy
- All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and subject to changes in government policies, taxes, or duties.
- Clerical or mathematical errors are subject to correction.
- Sales Tax (FBR / PRA)
- Quoted prices exclude general sales tax on supplies and services.
- Sales tax will be charged as per applicable laws at the time of execution.
- If exempt, the customer must provide an exemption certificate before contract signing.
- Any new tax imposed before project completion will be the customer’s responsibility.
- Changes in Legislation
- Prices are based on prevailing duties, taxes, exchange rates, and levies at the time of the offer.
- Any changes affecting the price will be borne by the customer.
- Scope of Supply & Installation
- Includes solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cabling, and accessories as per the agreed quotation.
- Additional work outside the agreed scope will be charged separately.
- Delivery of stock is the company’s responsibility. If the customer opts for self-pickup, any damage during transit will be their responsibility.
- The company is responsible for load distribution; any additional load added by the customer is their own responsibility.
- Site Conditions & Civil Works
- Any damage due to poor roof condition during civil structure work will be the customer’s responsibility.
- Payment Terms
- 90% payment must be made before delivery.
- For residential solar systems, installation time will be one week after 90% payment is received.
- Delivery & Installation Timeline
- Installation will be carried out on a priority basis in coordination with the customer.
- Delays due to weather, site readiness, or force majeure will be resolved mutually.
- Completion & Handover
- After installation, the customer must confirm everything is properly installed.
- Any theft or loss after customer satisfaction and handover is the customer’s responsibility.
- Any relocation of structure, inverter, or hardware after installation will be charged extra.
- Warranty Policy
- Manufacturer warranty applies as per product terms.
- Warranty does not cover: physical damage, electrical failure, fluctuations, surges, fire, misuse, natural disasters, overloading, burning, or breakage.
- Warranty claims for inverters and batteries are the customer’s sole responsibility and must be made directly to the manufacturer.
- After-Sales Service
- Free after-sales service for one year from installation date.
- After one year, a PKR 40,000/year service package will be offered, including quarterly inspections, solar insurance, solar system cleaning, warranty replacement handling, and 24-hour fault visit response. Equipment charges will be billed separately.
- Net Metering Policy
- Net meter installation is processed on a priority basis, typically within 15–30 days, depending on government policy.
- Solato is not responsible for delays due to regulatory or administrative processes.
- Internet Connection
- An active internet connection must be available for system monitoring. The company is not responsible for any disconnection caused by internet unavailability.
- Liability Limitations
- Solato is not responsible for AC wiring issues in the customer’s premises.
- The company is not liable for property damage during installation unless caused by proven negligence.
- Documentation
- All project details, scope, payments, and agreements will be documented and signed by both parties.
- Governing Laws
- Governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes settled in Islamabad through mutual discussion or arbitration.

SOLAR SYSTEM PURCHASE (BANK FINANCING)
- Quotation Validity, Pricing Policy, Sales Tax, and Legislative Changes
- Same clauses as cash purchase terms, including the clause on changes after design confirmation.
- Scope of Supply & Installation
- Same as cash purchase terms, including clauses on delivery responsibility, load distribution, and customer responsibility for additional loads.
- Site Conditions & Civil Works
- Same as cash purchase terms.
- Payment & Financing Terms
- Advance payment (if applicable) must be deposited before starting work.
- Remaining payment will be made by the bank per its disbursement schedule.
- The client must provide all documents required for financing approval.
- Financing & Interest Charges
- Terms, markup, and tenure are as per the financing bank’s agreement.
- Late installment payments are solely the client’s responsibility.
- Solato is not responsible for bank penalties.
- Delivery & Installation Timeline
- Installation will be carried out on a priority basis in coordination with the customer.
Solato will commence installation of the solar system on a priority basis, immediately upon receiving the official Purchase Order (PO) from the bank. Without receipt of the Purchase Order, Solato shall not be obligated to initiate or carry out any installation work.
- Delays due to weather, bank processing, site readiness, or force majeure will be resolved mutually.
- Completion & Handover
- Same as cash purchase terms.
- Warranty Policy
- Same as cash purchase terms.
- After-Sales Service
- Same as cash purchase terms.
- Net Metering Policy
- Same as cash purchase terms.
- Internet Connection
- Same as cash purchase terms.

- Documentation
- Same as cash purchase terms.
- Ownership & Risk
- Ownership remains with the financing bank until the loan is fully repaid.
- Risk transfers upon delivery to the customer.
- Insurance, if applicable, will be arranged as per bank policy.
- Default & Recovery
- In case of non-payment, the bank may repossess the solar system.
- Solato bears no responsibility for loss arising from repossession.
- Governing Laws
- Same as cash purchase terms.
AFTER-SALES SERVICES POLICY (PAID)
- Solar Insurance
- Insurance will be arranged through top-rated companies to protect your solar system against natural disasters (floods, storms, earthquakes) and unforeseen damage. This provides peace of mind and financial security.
- Important: Solato will not bear the cost of damage claims. However, we will fully assist customers in ensuring a fast and smooth claim process with the insurance provider.
- Quarterly Solar Panel Cleaning
- Our team will visit once every quarter to clean your panels professionally. Clean panels enable maximum sunlight absorption, leading to higher electricity generation and improved system efficiency.
- Quarterly Performance Check-Ups
- Every three months, our technicians will perform a detailed check of the inverter, wiring, mounting structure, and system calibration. This proactive inspection helps identify potential issues early and keeps the system running at peak performance.
- Free Labor & Service
- All visits for cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs are included in this plan. No additional labor or service charges will be applied.
- Replacement Parts at Cost Price (After Warranty)
- If any system component (such as inverter, wiring, or panels) fails after the warranty period, the customer will only pay the cost price of the replacement part.
- Labor, inspection, and installation for such replacements will remain free.
- Alternative Parts During Warranty
- If a major component (e.g., solar inverter) fails during the warranty period, Solato will provide an immediate alternative/temporary replacement to keep the electricity supply uninterrupted. The customer will provide some collateral in the shape of a Cash/Bank Guarantee or a cross-collateral in the name of the company during the interim period.
- Once the manufacturer repairs or replaces the original part, it will be reinstalled at no extra labor cost.
- Note: The cost of the alternative/temporary part provided by Solato will be paid by the customer.
- Performance Live Monitoring
- Our technical team will continuously monitor your solar system through its online portal. Any abnormality in energy generation or performance will be flagged and addressed quickly.
- Priority Technical Support
- Registered after-sales customers will receive priority service for all technical queries or performance issues. Our support team guarantees faster response compared to non-subscribers.
- Warranty & Claim Assistance
- If a component fails during the manufacturer’s warranty period, Solato will manage the claim process on the customer’s behalf.
- To ensure uninterrupted operation, temporary replacements will be provided where possible (excluding solar panels).

SOLAR INSURANCE POLICY
Introduction
At Solato Smart Private Limited, we understand that your solar system is a long-term investment. To protect it, we offer a Solar Insurance Policy through top-rated insurance companies. This policy ensures financial protection against natural disasters, accidental damages, and unforeseen risks, giving you peace of mind.
Scope of Coverage
The Solar Insurance Policy provides coverage for:
- Natural Disasters – Damage caused by floods, storms, earthquakes, heavy rainfall, hailstorms, or lightning.
- Fire & Explosions – Losses resulting from accidental fire or explosion.
- Theft & Burglary – Protection against theft or burglary of solar panels, inverters, or related equipment.
- Accidental Damage – Coverage for unexpected physical damage to the system not caused by negligence.
- Third-Party Liability – If the solar system causes accidental damage to neighboring property, coverage may extend to those claims as per the insurance company policy.
Exclusions (Not Covered)
The following are not covered under this policy:
- Normal wear and tear, corrosion, or gradual performance degradation of panels.
- Damage due to poor maintenance, negligence, or unauthorized repairs.
- Damage caused intentionally by the owner or third parties.
- Warranty claims (covered separately by the manufacturer).
- Loss of power generation due to shading, dust, or routine cleaning requirements.
- Any claims outside the terms and conditions of the partnering insurance company.
Premium & Payment
- The annual insurance premium is included in the After-Sales Care Package (PKR 4,500 per year).
- The premium amount may vary if the system size is unusually large or requires additional coverage.
Claim Process
- In case of damage or loss, the customer must immediately notify Solato Smart Private Limited.
- Solato will assist in preparing and submitting the claim to the insurance company.
- Customers must provide necessary documentation (proof of purchase, damage photographs, FIR in case of theft, etc.).
- The final settlement and approval of claims will be at the sole discretion of the insurance company.
- Solato will ensure fast claim processing and keep your system operational through temporary solutions wherever possible.
Disclaimer
- Solato Smart Private Limited is a facilitator for solar insurance. The insurance coverage, approvals, and claim settlements are the responsibility of the respective insurance company.
- Solato will provide full support in the claim process, but will not be financially liable for damages or compensation.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Policy

We prioritize the well-being of our employees, clients, contractors, and the communities we serve, while ensuring that our activities contribute to a sustainable future.
- Workplace Health & Safety Policy
- All employees and contractors must follow safe work practices and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including helmets, gloves, harnesses, and safety shoes, at installation sites.
- Work at heights and electrical work must be carried out under strict supervision with approved safety equipment.
- Emergency response plans (fire, medical, and electrical hazards) are displayed at worksites and offices, and regular drills are conducted.
- Employees are encouraged to report unsafe practices or hazards immediately to their supervisor or the HSE team.
- First aid kits and fire extinguishers are available at every site and office.
- Travel & Vehicle Safety Policy
- Employees traveling to client sites must follow road safety rules and use seat belts at all times.
- All vehicles must be regularly inspected for brakes, tires, and safety equipment.
- Only authorized and licensed drivers are allowed to operate vehicles, bikes.
- Use of mobile phones while driving is strictly prohibited.
- Overnight stays for distant projects will be arranged where necessary to avoid fatigue-related risks.
- Environmental & Sustainability Policy
- Solato is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by promoting renewable energy solutions.
- Solar waste (e.g., damaged panels, cables, batteries) is disposed of responsibly in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Recycling of packaging materials (cartons, wooden pallets, cables) is mandatory at warehouses and project sites.
- Energy and water conservation practices are encouraged across all offices and sites.
- Awareness campaigns are regularly conducted to promote sustainability among employees and communities.
- Responsibilities & Implementation
- Management: Ensure HSE policies are implemented, reviewed, and updated regularly.
- Employees & Contractors: Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and report hazards.
- HSE Team: Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and training sessions.
- Clients & Visitors: Expected to comply with Solato’s safety requirements when visiting sites or offices.
- Guidance for Solar Installation Teams & Supervisors
For Installation Teams (Technicians, Helpers, Electricians):
- Always wear full PPE (helmet, gloves, harness, safety shoes, high-visibility vest) before starting work.
- Inspect all tools, ladders, scaffolding, and harnesses before use. Do not use faulty or damaged equipment.
- Ensure fall protection when working on rooftops or elevated structures.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before electrical connections.
- Keep work areas tidy—avoid leaving tools, wires, or panels in walkways.
- Do not attempt risky shortcuts; always follow approved installation methods.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or near-misses to the site supervisor.
For Supervisors (Team Leads / Site Engineers):
- Conduct a daily toolbox talk before work begins, covering site risks, tasks, and safety reminders.
- Verify that all team members are wearing PPE and using equipment properly.
- Ensure scaffolding, lifelines, and ladders are securely fixed and tested before allowing work at heights.
- Check that electrical connections are performed by qualified electricians only.
- Monitor weather conditions—stop rooftop or elevated work in case of rain, high winds, or lightning risk.
- Keep an incident log and report hazards, accidents, or near-misses to the HSE committee within 24 hours.
- Encourage a “safety first” culture—no work should be carried out if safety standards are not met.
- Training & Awareness
- All employees undergo HSE orientation training at the time of joining.
- Installation teams receive specialized training on working at heights, electrical safety, and emergency procedures.
- Supervisors receive leadership safety training to monitor compliance and guide their teams.
- Refresher training sessions are conducted quarterly.
- Safety posters and instructions are displayed at offices and installation sites.
- Monitoring & Compliance
- Regular HSE audits and inspections are carried out to ensure compliance.
- Any violations of safety rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension from work.
- Continuous improvement is pursued by learning from incidents, near-misses, and employee feedback.
